A Tour of Heart of America

The mural in the Ice Age Room at Heart of America.

Recently, I took some of my students to Heart of America’s Museum. The class is Physical Science, and as the Museum has a number of samples of minerals, rocks, and fossils, it is an excellent place for my students to see actual examples of things that we have talked about in class. Since I knew some students were not going to be able to make it to the Museum, I recorded a small tour of the Museum. I thought I would share this video with you. We do not cover everything in the Museum: it is, after all, focused on the class. However, I thought it would be appropriate to share it with you, to either give you an opportunity to catch a glimpse of the Museum for the first time, or to see parts of it again from the perspective of a Physical Science course.

Video tour.
